Hopkins is back for all your Fish & Chip Shop Frying Needs!

We reported back in November 2018 that one of Yorkshire’s longest established Commercial Catering Equipment Manufacturers, Hopkins, was placed into administration.  The Pudsey based, family run business had been severely affected by the current economic climate of the High Street.

However we are delighted to hear that the company and it’s assets have been purchased from the administrators.  The new company will be called Hopkins Frying Ranges and spearheaded by Matt Hopkins, the brother of former owner Victoria, with the backing of Ferhat Akkaya, a longstanding Hopkins customer.

The result is around half of the staff will now be re-employed within the new company.  This is great news for Fish & Chip shops throughout Yorkshire and beyond, knowing that the expertise and back up support Hopkins provides has now been re-established.
